Google and Telkom Indonesia is Collaborating to Develop Wifi Services

Jakarta – 11 April 2019. Google and Temasek’s research states that Indonesia’s digital economy is predicted to grow in 2025, reaching 100 billion US dollars (around Rp. 1,448 trillion). In 2018, the data also stated that the value of Indonesia’s digital economy had reached 2.9% of GDP and was the third largest in ASEAN after Singapore was 3.3% and Vietnam was 4%. This means that Indonesia is facing enormous economic growth potential. So that for industry players such as Telkom, it is important to start preparing supporting infrastructure to serve market needs. In order to support digital economy in Indonesia, Telkom is collaborating with Google. This collaboration stated in the MoU and signed in DigiSummit 2019.

Besides infrastructure, Telkom also optimizes several assets and capabilities such as big data and network coverage and operations that can encourage the formation of the best “user experience” in enjoying digital services.
